Hey there, I’m Pete, and I’ve traded in my bartending vest and tie for a passport and a sense of adventure. After spending over 18 years mixing drinks in the glittering city of Las Vegas, I decided it was time for a change. So, I sold everything and packed my bags, bid farewell, and set off on a new chapter as a digital nomad. Join me as I share the highs, lows, and everything in between on my past 1.5-year odyssey through Thailand and beyond.

A Tapestry of Asian Adventures:

You might’ve found me slinging drinks in Las Vegas for the past 18 years, but these days, I’m a digital nomad exploring the nooks and crannies of Thailand and beyond Asia.

Imagine leaving behind the glitz of Vegas for the bustling streets of Bangkok. That’s been my reality for the past year and a half. From the vibrant chaos of Tokyo to the serene beaches of Bali, I’ve been soaking up everything Asia has to offer.

Thailand stole my heart back in 2010, and I’ve been hooked ever since. The cheap living, the mouthwatering Thai cuisine, and those picture-perfect beaches—it’s like living in a postcard. Every day here feels like a new adventure, with surprises waiting around every corner.

Diversifying Income Streams:

Now, you might be wondering how I fund this lifestyle. Well, so far it’s a mix of rental properties and investments in dividend stocks. Been pouring my heart and soul into a travel blog trying to turn it profitable, but the process takes time. I’ve been offered a teaching job in English, but honestly, I’m more drawn to the idea of setting up a food stall in a bustling night market.

My life as a nomad is a balancing act. I’ll spend a couple of months exploring new cities or area, soaking in every experience, and then I’ll settle down for a bit to write blog posts, continuing learning Thai, and recharging my batteries.

Striking the Balance:

Staying connected is key for me. I make sure to text my mom back in Florida every day, still talk with few friends back in Vegas, and I’ve even made some friends here through a language school. Nothing beats grabbing a few drinks and swapping stories with fellow travelers.

I’m a planner at heart, which is why my travel blog has been created. I’ll research every destination to the ninth degree and share all my findings with whoever’s interested. But hey, I’m not opposed to a little spontaneity along the way.

Conclusion

My nomadic journey has been a wild ride—full of ups, downs, and everything in between. But through it all, I’ve found a sense of freedom and adventure that I wouldn’t trade for anything. I’m free to live everyday on my own schedule.
